Grasshorse Visual Effects Demo Reel 2012

Thanks for checking out the 2012 Grasshorse VFX Demo Reel. It showcases our favorite work from the Disney show Kickin’ It. We created 3D animation of an Egyptian amulet and performed wire and rig removal for various episodes. Following Kickin’ It are some clips from Collapse, a zombie movie we had the pleasure to work on. We augmented the work of Makeup Artist Toby Sells with digital makeup effects. We also modeled, textured, animated and composited digital eye sockets and painted out gun shot wounds to reveal them in sync with the on-set special effects provided by Ken Gorrell. Our last shot from Collapse is a crowd replication shot where we multiplied 15 zombies to 60. Since, you can’t really shoot paintballs at your cast and crew all day, we provided digital paint balls and stains for the feature film Splatter. Any place you see a paint ball explode or a stain on the actor, that was entirely fabricated as a post effect. To aid in the production of the feature film The Offering we provided numerous screen replacements so the actress could be seen interacting with various applications on a computer and cell phone. The last piece on the reel is some excerpts from our project, Jeep Treasure. This piece showcases our wide range of abilities as we produced the entire piece in house. We created an underwater aquarium world with existing props, CAD data from Jeep and digital and rapid prototyped elements to create a visual effect "collage" utilizing many different techniques <b>…</b>
