When configured with ScanItImpression, Dental System supports the design of restorations based on adaptive impression scanning. ScanItImpression is started automatically, when required by an order created in DentalManager. With this application you can scan impressions and then design restorations in DentalDesigner. In addition, the ScanItImpression allows you to create/trim a virtual model (replacing the traditional stone/gypsum model), that can then be produced by rapid prototyping in parallel to the manufacturing of the actual restoration. ScanItImpression can scan the vast majority of typical restoration impressions. However, if a prepared tooth has a depth-to-width ratio larger than approx. 1.5, the accuracy in the deepest part of the impression may be marginally compromised. 3Shape Model Builder™ allows you to design lab models for an extensive range of indications including implant models, from intraoral scans, physical impression scans and gypsum scans.
